Meet Our Pastor

The Rev. Amy Sens is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ (UCC), a progressive protestant denomination with roots that reach back to the Pilgrims and to later waves of German immigrants, plus people who just wanted to be known as plain old Christians.

Pastor Amy is from Minnesota, and studied International Relations at the University of Delaware. She is a graduate of Harvard Divinity School and has lived in Maryland with her wife Heather since 2004.

Before beginning six:eight, Amy was Regional Director for Lutheran Volunteer Corps, a year-long service program. She has been a member of the Baltimore Improv Group since 2007, and in 2016 published a collection of new and classic bluegrass hymns: The New Bluegrass Hymnal. Some of her favorite authors are Anne Lamott, Walter Bruggeman, and Brian McLaren. Amy, Heather, their daughter Anne and their cat Malcolm live in Southwest Baltimore.
