Revised September Community Service Project

Posted by on September 19, 2012

Since our Sept. 15 project with the Baltimore Free Farm fell through, we’re definitely doing another one this month. Join us on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 6pm in Hampden as we help the Hampden Community Council Green Team at the “Get Trashed on Tuesday” event.

This group meets for an hour to clean up trash on the streets of Hampden, then they head over to a nearby bar/restaurant for happy hour drink and food specials. Pastor Amy and Heather went last month and had a great time helping out and meeting new people. You can read more about the event in this Baltimore Fish Bowl article.

The group meets at 6pm this Tuesday at the Royal Farms on the corner of 36th and Roland in Hampden. They provide the supplies. We clean for an hour, then at 7pm they’ll all head over to Golden West for food and drinks. RSVP to Heather if you can make it!

Also, SAVE THE DATE! Our November community project will require a good number of people. On Saturday, Nov. 3 from 8:30am to noon, we’ll be helping sort food at the Maryland Food Bank.
